Times Are Tough But You Still Want to Have Friends Over For Drinks

So you are in the liquor store and realize that all the drinks that the friends prefer and you are used to entertaining with including obviously the "blended" mystery drinks include a staple bar in your house of recognizable brands, specific, and definitely recognizable. Brands for example Absolute Vodka, Grey Goose, Bacardi, Patron Silver, and Glenfiddich, there are the wines: Pinot Grigios, Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Merlots, and Cabernets add up quickly to some very expensive bill. You are in tough financial situation with the economy so how are you going to pull off your little mixer that youve planned?
Start with the simplest, save any expensive bottles of vodka or alcohol you might have accumulated in the past. Is there an Absolute bottle in the spare room? Is there a nearly empty bottle of Kettle One out of the freezer? Otherwise, ask parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, or even grandparents if they are social drinkers as well as just business professional and entertainers having a small yet worthy bar available for visitors. Someone is bound to have a bottle of better vodka or one of your staple brands around. Go to the liquor store and purchase the cheapest vodka or preference you can find. I discovered some, not from Russia but right in NJ, single charcoal filtered.

Bring your cheap vodka (or preferred liquor) home and put it in the freezer right away, or if not vodka then whatever temperature it would "normally" attend. Make sure its chilled before you decide to pour it to your bottle of Kettle One. At most parties, people have mixed drinks, not many people are drinking vodka or other alcohol straight up or on ice unless theyre your grandparents that have been drinking for years (or shots if theyre your pals younger yet now legal drinking age sibling), but they arent invited and also you took their nearly empty bottle of Kettle One anyway. Should you choose get a random person at the party that does want the vodka straight up, be sure you show them the bottle you are pouring it from and that its chilled and talk about how much you love this type of vodka upright as well. So that your guest will believe that youve as discerning of the taste for fine vodka as they do and they will unlikely challenge another vodka connoisseur, especially not if hes several sheets already, no hurt in trying to get the "on the rocks" and "straight ups" to try a few shooters and mixers before their natural tendencies stay tuned and theyre sought after of the "comfort" drink.

Now in the case of wine this could go 1 of 2 ways. If you are an avid grape drinker yourself you can use your own empty bottles, rinsed out, as alcohol kills the majority of things in the bottle, right? For arguments sake well acknowledge after a time period bacteria and mold of course will grow in unwashed, well most anything. So, you can wash the bottles if you feel inclined, I havent up to now and no one which Im aware of has died from such practice or reported anything apart from not implementing two aspirin and drinking a glass of water after eating and enjoying a little too much of the "juice" prior to going to sleep after which spending the piper the following morning.

Next go to your liquor store or supermarket and get the box stuff, thats right, good ole boxed wine. The way it was meant to be served, its the "keg" for wine. Who throws a party with just one wine bottle? And in todays economy who can manage to stock a wine cellar? Yes, therefore the same trick I described for vodka will apply to your wine. Just make sure that you pour white wine in the empty chardonnay bottle and red in the merlot and cabernet bottle, etc. Do not provide the alternative wines, the higher end that you obviously can not produce in a box stick to the same kind of wine in the same bottle. If youre lucky enough to get be throwing a party where all your guests have been in another room and theyre being served glasses then, you are able to obviously leave this area wine because it is. However i advise that youll still fill up a bottle or two, just in case you get a wandering, tipsy soul, when i know of them at a lot of my parties. Listen to me, you will save money and after the first glass, you will be out of the woods. Youll be able to just relax and watch everyone enjoy themselves, understanding that all the marketing that adopts liquor is just that, marketing which many people would like to get away from the humdrum, the strain, and relax with a glass of whatever their "poison" is and then they are pleased and so are you to have provided, even with limited funds, as well as with the savings a wallet thin enough to want a series to help keep it secured to your trousers a pleasurable and memorable event that you can also relax and toast a "cheers" too!
